Promote the function of Probation

1. Recruit probation volunteers to assist us in the probation affairs In order to improve the function of probation, we recruit probation volunteers to assist us in the probation affairs. Our probation officers actively visit people who are enthusiastic about public interest, and recruit such people to be our probation volunteers.

2. The progress of probation affairs

(a) In order to assist the probationers who have just been released from jail, help them to return to our society, reorganize their families, and find jobs to live on their own, we cooperate and take advantage of a variety of social recourses helping those people find jobs, enter into schools, secure medical care, residence and a fund for urgent need. In addition, we want to assist prisoners build correct philosophy of life; therefore, our probation officers, in cooperation with public interest organizations, go further into the jail and teach the prisoners there, which makes the prisoners have the opportunity to run a self-examination of their minds. Our probation officers visit every community, campus and organization to promote anti-drug and anti-bribery policy and legal education.

(b) In order to meet the requirements set forth in the "Drug-Abuse Prevention Act," we establish a "Urine Collection Room" to take urine samples from probationers who are addicted to illegal drugs. Probation officers are responsible for the supervision of regular and irregular urine sample tests on probationers addicted to drugs.
